Do you need to learn the basics of money management? Are you a bit intimidated by managing your money as you become an adult? Want to know how to avoid marketing people or solicitors from making you feel you “need” to buy their product that you don’t really need - such as another credit card ? Do you look back at the end of the month and wonder where all your money went?
101-A: This one and one-half hour introduction to money management class will teach you the essential skills needed to maintain a checking or savings account’s positive balance, effectively and easily make a budget to tell your money where to go, and learn ways to combat marketing tricks that are CONSTANTLY being used against you.
101-B: This supplement to part A above goes into greater detail about managing earnings and savings, calculating a budget, and reviewing strategies for managing your money instead of letting it manage you.
101-C: This supplement to part A above goes into greater detail about marketing strategies targeted at teens and methods for combating them, calculating your credit rating and building strong credit, and being smart about credit.
101-A not required for participation in parts B or C
Designed for students ages 14 - 18. Parents' attendance optional, but welcomed.
